New Gertrude's Star Mockups

I'd like to introduce you to 2 curated bundles that are available over at Lindley General Store. I've done 2 Gertrude's Star mockups to showcase these bundles. Both mockups are based on the Large Throw which is 80" square. That's about 203cm square.

First up is Golden Hour. The Golden Hour fat quarter bundle was curated specifically for the fat quarter version of Gertrude's Star Quilt. And so it has just the right amount of fabrics. The colours are warm, rich, and oh-so cozy! It makes me imagine sitting on the porch at sunset drinking a warm cuppa wrapped up in a homemade quilt, hopefully this quilt! The colours were inspired by sunsets, so why not match the sky with your quilt! Disclaimer, it's a little too cold here now, so you won't catch me on the porch until at least May.

The background fabric in this mockup is Art Gallery Fabric's Pure Solids White Linen. The colour is not as pronounced in person as it tends to be in these digital mockups, but it's still a lovely, rich, creamy white.

The North Wind bundles each contain 13 fabrics, but as the Gertrude's Star quilt only calls for 12, we've only used 12 of the fabrics in this mockup. The North Wind colours are quite the contrast to Golden Hour! This bundle was intended to be usable from Christmas to February. We wanted strong wintery vibes but without anything too Christmassy. Don't get me wrong, I love gaudy, garish Christmas decor, just ask my family. But we were thinking more of longevity and usefulness. You don't always want to invest in a quilt that can only be used for a couple of weeks every year! 

For the background, we've used Art Gallery Fabric's Pure Solids Porcelain, which I believe is one of their newest colours. It's an icy white and so goes perfectly with the wintery theme of the bundle.
