Large Throw Gertrude's Star Quilt
We made this version of Gertrude's Star Quilt earlier this year for one of the shows we were vending at and we're now only getting around to taking photos! This ones all pure solids in rich tones of pink, gold, and a little blue and green for good measure! I loved the first version we did of this quilt, but something about the solids really lets the design shine. It's probably worth mentioning too, that this colour palette was the inspiration for the colours used in our Gertrude's Star stickers!

The Fabrics
This version of the Gertrude's Star Quilt uses the FQ accent fabric requirements and a solid background. Below is a list of the colours we used for the accent. To make the size we did, which is the Large Throw, you would need a fat quarter of each colour.
Colour Name | Where To Buy |
Crystal Pink | Thread Count Fabrics |
Blossomed | Thread Count Fabrics |
Terracotta Tile | Thread Count Fabrics |
Gingerbread | Thread Count Fabrics |
Honey | Thread Count Fabrics |
Vanilla Custard | Thread Count Fabrics |
Sweet Macadamia | Thread Count Fabrics |
Georgia Peach | Lindley General Store |
Parisian Blue | Lindley General Store |
Coffee Bean | Lindley General Store |
Forest Night | Lindley General Store |
Dried Moss | Lindley General Store |

For the background, we went with the classic Pure Solids White Linen. The binding is the Juniper Nordic Knit in Yellow. And this gorgeous Wild Forgotten Nectar Willow for the backing! Have we used most of these fabrics before in other projects? Yes! Will we use them again in the future? Probably! Hey, we're trying to create some predictability in a rather unstable world!

The Quilting
The quilt was quilted by Laurie Moynes (you can find her business FB page here: Laurie's Quilting and Sales). The panto is called Over the Rainbow by Christy Dillon. I love how it has that art deco feel, it's the perfect finishing touch!

And I'm leaning you with a few more shots for good measure! Isn't she pretty?!
